Velneo S.A. was created in 2005 by its current CEO, Alfonso Gutiérrez, founder of the software business group Visual MS, the main shareholder of the company. The company was born after the purchase of the business programming tool Velázquez Visual, pioneer in the use of databases. Velneo has been self-financed since its foundation and reinvests its profits in growth, improvement and development, both of the company and its product, focusing on research and innovation. Currently, the company's headquarters are located in the Galician city of O Porriño.

CDTI's trust and active involvement in V7 means the acknowledgment of the consistent R&D carried out at Velneo.
